JB = John Bower. His name isn't really Bauer as many used to believe.  (That is not a secret, BTW.  If it was, I wouldn't share it here or anywhere else.)  It's just habit to refer to him as Bauer because he used that name for a few years long ago.

Last I saw him was on R&E a few months back saying he had some medical problem that messed with his hands. A stroke, maybe.

Last I knew, he was in El Paso, TX and his ex-wife in Arizona, I believe. His two adopted Asian kids (son and daughter) are both grown up and live near his ex-wife.

He is an annoying nut job in real life too as the court records I found and posted about him a year or so ago prove. 

Is he on the spectrum or just a PITA Baha'i fanatic?  I'm going with just a PITA Baha'i fanatic because he just doesn't fit the profile of people actually on the spectrum but the profile of religious fanatics.

He repeatedly used the the ethnic slur 'wop' to refer to 'Goombats.' Ken, of course, did nothing.

Any insult to Mongo by anyone is OK with me.  He has earned them.

Yup! You're all correct!  mongo is a BULLY with the thinnest skin imaginable... just like his hero, trump.

As for his defunct, supposedly bipartisan, political board, it failed because of HIM.  He is INCAPABLE of being even-handed.  His policies and dramatically uneven moderation, plus his relentless banning of anyone who displeased him caused the gross imbalance of political voices that ultimately killed the board. 

Very quickly, pure boredom set in after he'd driven away all but his own "fans" and the rudest people on the opposite side who could evade his bans.  They were incredibly NASTY as were some on his side who expected to be protected from scolding, deletions, or bans.  By then, it was the same as his white whine board, so why would anyone, even his own ilk, bother posting there? 

Only those who LOVE cyber-battles actually like boards like what he turned his political board into.  That is what Ken is surely discovering on HIS board.  Ken is capable of being even-handed even though, right now, he's absolutely not being fair whenever it comes to mongo and his relentless attacks on others and blatant rule breaking. 

OTOH, he IS tolerating voices that I know that he abhors, perhaps because he tolerates mongo's?  IDK?  However, anytime it comes to mongo, he sides with him.  He NEVER scolds or "disciplines" him.  Perhaps he's afraid of the damage mongo WILL DO to his board if he's scolded?  However, NOT doing something about the obvious bias in mongo's favor will ultimately result in even more problems there.  Ken simply CAN'T effectively monitor any board - because of his time constraints and his (personally unrecognized)  inability to recognize social cues & behaviors that are obvious to others who are not on the spectrum.**

What mongo failed to recognize is that few on the "left" would actually want to join HIS board (experience taught us all exactly what would happen there) while those on the left who did join were quickly driven out by relentless pounding by him or his minions or they were banned.  Typically not for "cause" given that HE and some of his pinheads did precisely the same things that he banned "leftists" for doing. HE is his own worst enemy and he is completely incapable of recognizing his own blatant hypocrisy.

The only dissenting voices left there were TROLLS who just wanted to fight with other people and who use proxies to evade bans.  The ONLY way to stop that crap is registration.  Of everyone, HE should know that because that is how HE constantly broke into old Blue on Webapps because he'd switch IPs the second that one of them was banned.  There, we could only have ONE banned IP at a time, while here, banned IPs are unlimited.

** I think that Ken is a high functioning autistic, better described by the now defunct term, Asperger's Syndrome, which deprives people of the ability to recognize social cues to where they often blunder as a result.  I'll give him this, HE REALLY TRIES HARD TO BE FAIR, but that problem muddies it.  Unless something is extremely obvious and spelled out, he's likely to take those things at face value instead of seeing what most everyone else sees.  Unfortunately, he won't hear that and argues that it's not true.  I found THAT extremely frustrating because my own beloved brother was also an "Aspie", But Bud was open to listening to me (and others) when things he said or did were taken wrong and blew up in his face, in spite of his good intentions that were nothing like how everyone else saw it. With enough time and help, he was able to avoid most of that by using previous experiences to anticipate potential pitfalls. He also TOLD people that he had that difficulty whenever he was able to sense a chill or an unexpected reaction to his words. 

THAT was a HUGE FACTOR in Ken and my blow up last November.  I was FURIOUS at him for his inability to grasp WHY I was so angry at his public and private behavior and reactions.  He was unable to see anything but his OWN POV, so never apologized for what anyone else would have KNOWN was a blatant betrayal and the worst thing a "friend" could ever do to another friend.  I over-reacted, obviously, but it was more than warranted if anyone knew the details and background of it all.

I don't want to say too much, but as of this afternoon, Ken is trying to deal with the problem of Scott's ways as best he knows how. He deleted a few posts in the thread referred to above (though those all pertained to calling me infantile names) but more importantly he offer his own post referring to people who try to force their views on others. Given Ken's personality it is a very non-confrontational post, but if Scott has any self-awareness (OK, that's quite an "if") the meaning is quite clear. Whether or not it will be accepted with any grace is an open question but Ken's effort should be recognized.

Yep!  Biden's stock market had RECORD HIGHS.  They were there until dt trashed the economy with his ridiculous cuts and F-ing TARIFFS!

Importers increased their buying as soon as dt announced tariffs would begin as soon as HE did.  So, the imports went WAY UP for January, February, and early March to get stuff in BEFORE the tariffs hit.

Now, imports are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY down.  This is extremely BAD NEWS for the economy and it is ALL dt's doing!

Holy crappoli! NO ONE insults as much, as often, or as routinely as mongo!

He is certainly not alone in that terrible behavior, but he stands out in the crowd of abusive posters.

mongo is a malignant narcissist with a highly toxic personality.  He's just like trump in so many ways, not the least of which is his rampant insecurity that causes him to constantly brag about whatever he thinks will impress others and to use/abuse any power he has to hurt anyone who doesn't see him as he wishes to be seen.

On a daily basis, mongo proves the REAL REASON his stupid, supposedly bi-partisan board went belly up...  IT WAS HIM.  HE turned it into white whine's nasty little brother - green slime.

He cannot control either his temper or his bloated EGO.  He CANNOT be "fair" to anyone who doesn't kiss his butt.

It's disappointing (albeit utterly predictable) that that latest attempt at a political discussion forum swiftly degenerated into 95% partisan and/or personal bickering and insult-slinging. But that seems to be the fate of every forum dedicated to (largely) American politics. If a registration-only political board were to be tightly monitored for poster behavior, it could probably work, but that would be a full-time job if the forum became popular. I can't see such a forum generating enough money for it to actually be someone's full time gig. No unpaid monitor has time to keep something like that from decaying into what we see there.

I've been making something of an attempt, but it's easy to get sidetracked.
