Evelyn
Sitting outside yesterday - on the deck of a neighbor of my daughter's.  She'd just face planted when trying to walk on her own and had a little tumble.  Her
reddened cheek & nose stayed on to remind us.

She looks a little bit like Jeff Sessions.
That's OK. My daughter Emily looked like Winston Churchill.

You know before we have kids, babies don't look so good.
When we have them, they do, and ours are always prettier than others.
Then when they're grown up, some of us revert back to old perceptions.
That's when fights are likely to break out.

You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony

Gee, ya know what ?  Sometimes the best response is no response.  Then there are no bombs likely to be lobbed at anyone... Ya know?

She is really quite cute.
You are proud of her, just as you should be.

The ribbing was meant in fondness, kindness and humor. I hoped you might lob a bomb back. You kind of did. I'll say something about it as soon as I get this foot out of my mouth.

You're such a BRAT (said with great affection)… LOL...  I know that you're not terribly fond of tiny babies and think they all look "funny".   Well, most of them do.

But one year olds have grown enough to look like "people" instead of little lumps of flesh.  LOL.

Yes, IMHO, Evelyn is beautiful child.  I know she is absolutely adorable in personality and quite the character.  She has come SO FAR from the tiny lump of humanity come several weeks too early and weighing barely 4 lbs.  She's grown steadily and now tops 15 lbs at a year old.  Still very tiny for a year old, but, in actuality, she's only really 10 months old as her first two months of growth after birth were finishing what should have finished before being born.  She's very smart and willful too.

I suppose that nearly all little ones are adorable cutie pies as far as personalities, whether they are physically cute or not.  That's the nature of little ones -- being incredibly cute to ensure that adults will love and take good care of them even though they are SO much work.
