I’d have expressed dismay and sorrow,
especially for the kids, and left politics out of it, had he been a Republican.  But that’s just me. And why I’m glad I’m me, and not the Tennessee Trashheap.

Trump evacuated from White House Correspondents’ Association dinner

President Donald Trump and other administration officials were ushered out of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday night as guests were forced to duck due to an unspecified threat.

The program will resume momentarily, WHCA President Weijia Jiang later told the attendees.[It did not resume]

It remains unclear exactly what the threat at the event, which is hosted at a hotel in Washington, was.

The president was joined at the event by a host of White House officials, including Vice President JD Vance, deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. [Top 7 in Presidential line all at the same event]

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the status of the event.

he'd rather troll than actually discuss the topic in detail. This is what I saidlease by all means tell me why security was so lax at an event with FIVE top people in the administration and when a war is going on.

Let's look at logistics

There have been not one, but two purported attempts. That, alone, should call for very tight and heightened security.

- only cursory looks at tickets

- Tickets to the dinner only had table numbers written on them and not the actual names of guests. Identification was not checked at any point for those entering the hotel

- Guests making their way to the dinner went down escalators from the main lobbies, before going through a security checkpoint

- Why was vance removed before trump.

- Why did a person who considers the press an enemy, and who has never attended this event before do so now? It doesn't scan.

- conveniently happens when approval ratings are at an all time low and trump wants his golden goose
