Are you responding to my comments about mongo regarding his horrible behavior towards us or that I said that much of what he claims about himself is reasonably true? Not all, but enough of it?

I figured that it was better for folks to focus away from who he "claims to be" and to refocus on what he DOES and some of the reasons WHY.

He just laughs to himself when folks question his background claims because he knows their attacks on his claims are untrue. But others recognizing how emotionally insecure and socially immature he is underneath it all is his true weakness.

Knowing that he has NO EXCUSE for behaving so badly (he's had every financial advantage imaginable) and that his outrageous insecurity about being GIVEN rather than EARNING his "rewards", combined with a profound lack of nurture growing up (for reasons better left unsaid) is BEHIND his endless bragging & need for admiration and his endless OTT attacks on anyone who "dares disagree with his proclamations".

He's got a major entitlement attitude on top of a raging insecurity complex that makes him a serious contradiction emotionally. JUST LIKE tRUMP. Nothing is carved in stone aside of his belief that he is superior while also inferior at the same time.

Both flip between love/excessive praise and hate/excessive denigration based on whether they FEEL that you are on their side or oppose them on any given topic.

Those are my OBSERVATIONS of him based on knowledge of his circumstances and a background in psychology that helped me gain an understanding of his enormous contradictions and mood swings.

He has a "love/hate" attitude towards me.

He really wants me to like and admire him. However, because I no longer do, he also hates me in the same breath. So he has to harshly denigrate me with outrageous lies (designed to also make others see me negatively) to make my view of him "not matter" because that way I'm beneath his contempt, but deep down, he knows he's totally lying about me, so it comes out with contradictions of both smears and praise.

Just like tRUMP, mongo cannot handle being disliked by anyone he seeks to impress but will flip on a dime if the other butters him up and flatters him. What we can readily see with tRUMP, everyone should apply to mongo.

NO slight, imagined or real, can ever be ignored or let go of unless the "offending party" takes a knee and kisses up... publicly. THAT is why tRUMP falls for the deceptions of known liars and evil dictators across the globe. They are so much smarter than him but he has no clue. His need for approval is so profound that it overrides all else.

mongo is the same way.

I wish he'd just get over it already. He only further cements my negative views of him when he keeps it up.

I'd prefer that he just ignore me and I'd do the same in return. However, after knowing him for a couple of decades, I know that will never happen.

It is absolutely mongo's rank hypocrisy. However, in all fairness, Ken C allows "victims of personal attacks" latitude in responding in kind. That is, instead of him simply deleting the whole group of attacks as he once did on R&E. The Political board is a whole nuther animal as far as enforcing rules, civility, and even who is welcome to post there.

Why have rules if they're not regularly and routinely enforced?

I had one classroom rule, printable on a fortune cookie.
"I will not lie, steal, cheat, or cause harm, nor tolerate anyone who does."
I admire simplicity and clarity. Syllabi with pages of "rules" kill the intent
with their volume and complexity,. .
Schools had them, and individual teachers had them, and day one was
explanation of these rules. After day one, when students saw rules
were seldom enforced, and capricciously when enforced, some went out
of their way to break them, just for something to do.

Conversations following articles on AOL, Yahoo and other news forums
now have AI algorithmic monitoring, and NOTHING gets past that. A comment
I made, quoting Trump who called leakers of so called classified information
contradictory to his "obliteration" statement, "low life losers" was rejected because
low life losers is troll language the AI spots and rejects.

The chilling effect of this is not only do I not intend to express my invited and solicited
views and opinions anymore because of their clearly stupid and unfair enforcement
of prohibited words, even if they're quoted from the article, but I lost interest in
reading news or articles of any kind on those platforms. I am not a troll whose intent
is to personally attack other commenters. My intent is to contribute something
thoughtful and meaningful.

My specific intent questions the felon's naming of low level losers who released classified
information. Since when do low level losers access classified information?. Where did
they find it? In a Mar a Lago bathroom? Rejected because "low level losers" is AI
enforced prohibited language? Then the damned article should have been rejected!

What did I learn? Not to waste my time in places where rules are either not enforced at all,
or enforced capricciously with bias or favoritism, of enforced stupidly to kill any kind of
intelligent discussion and understanding. It's all the same.

When Ken suggested he'd enforce his own, posted rules if I would 'behave better,' I knew I'd been stabbed in the back. My conduct as habeas was EXEMPLARY, on purpose.

He is a scoundrel, and his boards are, appropriately, sewers.

Well, he absolutely stabbed me in the back. and threw me to the wolves because I wouldn't bend to HIS unreasonable request.

He also said that totally absurd crap to you about what it would take to get him to enforce HIS OWN RULES, as if that is even remotely a normal thing for a moderator who gives a care to say. He clearly wasn't paying attention since he thought you were behaving badly when you weren't.

Until seeing that crap along with his clear bias against you and obvious favor towards mongo, refusal to tell those who'd post multiple threads one after another after another, etc. to knock it off, I thought Ken was a pretty decent guy, even if a bit odd when it comes to social cues and humor.

I helped him for YEARS, always stuck up for him, and NEVER broke his rules, then he got angry at me for refusing to bend to his demands for OUR board, so he banned me for 3 weeks based on THAT and not on a single thing I'd done wrong on his board.

Screw that. THAT is back stabbing, even if mongo and scott somehow convinced him that I'd betrayed HIM for refusing to change this board to suit him by giving him a DNR against you (greenman). We don't HAVE DNRs and he did NOT "have to come here" if it upset him. But he did anyway, constantly just to see what else he could complain about.

Anyway, I don't want to go back to that angry place. It's over and done with.

I believe that the whole thing is an exercise in trying to irritate me or get even with me for refusing his attempts to change THIS board and deleting his log in here. (he still has a valid log in for the main board but chooses not to use it).

WHY else would he have chosen the EXACT color scheme for every single thing on the Blue message board as well as here on the forum? WHO DOES THAT? They all have to be individually chosen. It's NOT like choosing a fully fleshed out theme.

NO ONE.

He has also underhandedly put in place a rule that ALLOWS posters there to trash both Blue boards and all of our participants by specifying that it is not allowed for anyone to trash "LINKED BOARDS" to his political board. In the past, NONE of that was allowed, linked or not.

He changed that line a few months back.

and YEAH, he's a horrible judge of people and is incapable of reading most social cues and behind the words meanings.
