Yeah, joining the 3rd Reich vs dying of cancer is very different! I appreciate your toning it down.

A sort of modern version of the Third Reich. Not that Trumpublicanism isn't a cancer on America.

But then I've had cancer..

Yes, I know. That's why I was so surprised  by it.

Did you see the dolphins greeting the astronauts? This was the coolest thing ever!

I don't know what he's referring to, and dolphins can be friendly to people. but why does he think 'th libs' showed no empathy? Why these hateful lies?

Sad. Trump has created this.

When the 2 stranded astronauts, Sunny & Butch, landed late last night, the admin had set up a dolphin greeting for them that was rather sweet.

Where he came up with the idea that "the libs" somehow had no empathy for the 9 months mission being stranded (instead of 10 days) they endured boggles the mind. Probably some RW talking head spouting off. But certainly NOT reality.

I think that nearly ALL AMERICANS are GLAD they finally made it home regardless of the fact that Space X got them home. We can despise skuM but appreciate something his company did for the 2 astronauts.

Some folks can't recognize that despising someone or something doesn't translate into hating any good thing that they or their company managed to do..

I appreciate that skuM's Starlink has helped Ukraine fight Russia, while hating that he cut them off at critical points in the war.

In case you failed to comprehend, the Biden Mal-administration made it political...

It was not Joe's decision, of course, because all Joe was good for was slurping apple sauce and crapping himself.

That is one sick b@stard.  Jesus. They tell them this filthy stuff AND THEY BELIEVE IT.

It is not possible to argue rationally with such people. They're mentally ill.

Yeah, lots of them are total jerks! Arwen seems to be an exception?

It is ABSURD to make that idiotic claim about depriving skuM any credit. For crissakes, TWO of his rockets exploded in the last couple of months!

Space X has taken people into space for scenic joyride, but NOT to the moon and back, until now.

Re: Answering Comments on Boards Where Bans Exist

Elon Musk convinced the handful of mostly American politicians that he could achieve the same results as NASA for less money. The corners he cut that make his company dangerous and missions fail gave him the cash cow whereby he is the wealthiest man on earth. THAT is Musk's real goal. Not space development.

Space exploration and development needs to be an international collaborative. To do it safely is beyond ability of all private corporations and most countries. NASA proved that time and again. Musk is as much a con man as Trump. Engineers and scientists at NASA vehemently don't want him around. Those at Space X want him anywhere else, meddling with somebody else's business. I have to wonder if cuts doge makes to NASA will result in NASA scientists and engineers going to work for Space X? Might be a way for him to recruit talent. He and trump are worst of the worst of the worst "capitalists" seeking to build capital enterprise. Look at their cellar record!

Re: Answering Comments on Boards Where Bans Exist

At this point, Tesla has lost so much valuation and sales have tanked* so badly that it is no longer Musk's most valuable asset. He's going to lean on SpaceX as much as he can to at least partially offset the losses. Snout fully buried in the government trough he pretends to be shrinking...

His other ventures are, sfaik, minor (by billionaire standards). He doesn't make anything from PayPal and hasn't for a while: eBay's buyout was a total acquisition. X (that is, Twitter) is a potential money-maker, but he's massively leveraged in his acquisition of that company.

* This was utterly predictable and an indication that like der Trumpenfuhrer, Musk isn't the brilliant businessman he makes himself out to be (albeit vastly more competent that Trump). His current socio-political positioning and actions alienate the core market for Tesla products: mid- to upper-income urbanites with concerns about the climate...who lean strongly left in both the US and Europe. In order to pander to a segment that by and large dislikes the very notion of EVs. Derp.

She generally seems to stick to substantive matters rather than dive into the usual tiresome pissing matches, for all that I seldom agree with her socio-political positions. Given the rarity with which that happens on political forums, I think it's good to acknowledge.

Re: Answering Comments on Boards Where Bans Exist

Agreed. I was a bit harsh toward her but let her know that; if she discusses anything without raging and attacking other posters, good for her.

The Little Three (Mongo, SES and GOG) cannot discuss, but only insult and deride opinions different than their own.  One cannot even stick with one nick, though we've all been asked to do so.

As of right now it's basically unmoderated.

I posted a comment about the astronauts' return and implied that Starliner had to do with SpaceX (it's Boeing, of course). I wasn't really wrong; failures of the Boeing capsule made recovery impossible for months. But I got this from Mongo, one long 'rules violation' (or it would be, if there were any enforced):

Umm ...

Posted by Cerberus on March 20, 2025, 12:48 am, in reply to "It was clearly Musk who originally screwed up!"

You uneducated idiot hick, the failed Starliner was a Boeing/Biden failure.

They didn't "plan" to leave the 2 astronauts up there almost 10 mpnths. They FAILED to get them down, then Trump/ Musk had to successfully rescue them.

STFU, you rude, crude MF.
***

Apart from the hilarious hypocrisy of the last profane sentence, this is obviously yet another Mongo name accompanied by the same ol' abusive behavior.  He still can't say how Biden was to blame; he just hates Biden because ALL of the Trumpidiots hate Biden.

As I say, the board's unmoderated..

I correct myself. Some assjack is taking down my posts critical of Mongo; Ken the Kissass must be sucking up to him as usual.

I reposted a couple, so I'll probably be 'banned' again by that limp-twisted loser.

God I would hate Ken if I cared enough to do so..[rev]

Re: Answering Comments on Boards Where Bans Exist

Of course what SES (CE0802) DOES do is lie a lot. Caught him in this one today in passing:

***
We fired a President for letting Houthis shoot at our Navy. [Also false; if anyone 'fired' Biden it was the Dems]

Posted by CE0802 on March 24, 2025, 6:43 pm, in reply to "If we had a real president, someone would get fired over this."

Sleepy Joe did nothing while Houthis shot at our ships, with the help of the Iranians.

And only NOW you’re gonna open your pie-hole? [evidence of his offensive comments, which he denied the other day]

Keep drinking the Koolaid.
***

That is a lie, and this info from Wikipedia (and my own recent memory) tells the tale:

US President Joe Biden ordered the strikes, and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak convened his cabinet to authorize British participation.[19][20] American officials said the strikes were intended to degrade Houthi capabilities to attack Red Sea targets rather than to kill leaders and Iranian trainers.[18][21]

As of 2 January 2025, the Houthis recorded 931 American and British airstrikes against its sites in Yemen, resulting in 106 deaths and 314 injuries.[13]

These strikes were between Jan 24 -Jan 25.  C'mon, dipstick, you can do better than that..

Re: Answering Comments on Boards Where Bans Exist

Postscript: SES was following the Administration's lead with his lies about the Houthis, it seems..

'as Hegseth emphasized that their messaging must be that “Biden failed," Goldberg started to think the chat might be real.'  - previous 'Letter from an American'
