Gog complained many pines around hin are brown. He blames the chemtrails of jets.
Culprit is a Mexican pine bark beetle- a Mexican species with a range leaping northward, especially in the relatively mild Pacific Northwest. The beetles are about the size of his brain- half a small pea size. They are causing havoc to all western pines, and to the all important Douglasfir, most important US timber species. GOG, SES, DFM and Otis the Wise all ridiculed me for suggesting the northward march of southern insect species range is evidence of global warming and climate change. It isn't that a few species are. ALL species are! In Colorado range of those species increases in altitude, comparable in climate to more northerly latitude in low altitudes.

Just saw that enormous pile of droppings. Typically disgusting and abusive.

Mongo is, literally, the worst person in the history of Boardhost.  No one else is even close. Why anyone is ever civil to or tolerant of this asshat is beyond me.

He’s painted himself into his own little corner of hate, at least.  May he rot there and die.

Ken’s board is a damn joke.

After deciding to drop back in for occasional posts to comments I found interesting, I’ve been:

Attacked and harrassed by Sprout

Attacked by Mark

Had a DNR violated by Observer

Had another DNR violated by GOG.

No one has done anything, despite two e-mails to Ken, the supposed ‘moderator.’

I’m rethinking my approach. Maybe that board simply isn’t worth even TRYING to post on.

Even DNRs require moderation. There isn’t any at present.

Maybe I was right the first time.

Like the kind of ‘peaceful’ comments I’ve gotten recently on R & E from CE 0802, DFM, and Sprout?

All three have personally attacked me since I resumed limited posting.

Wishful thinking doesn’t do it, Ken. You have to actually moderate the board.

Here’s what I would do on a board I moderated, where SES and Sprout were attacking, say, Pikes:

I’d got to both of the culprits, preferably off board if I had their e-mails, and say ‘Look, I see what you’re doing. I’ve taken down these posts in the short term, but I’m going to need you to end the personal attacks.

If I see any more, the poster in question will be sitting out for six weeks.’

Then follow through.

You don’t need DNRs if you correct people and offer an alternative to banning.

These two are indicative of the kind of poster who disingenuously attacks others while pretending to be a victim themselves.

My main goal for R&E is to have a nice diversity of ideas, opinions and beliefs.  Peace is the second most important goal.

I want peace, but it's even more important to have a nice variety of opinions and ideas.
