Good catch by Ken.

So, I've been informed that mongo accused me of cheating on Wordle:
Looks like Sia cheated on Wordle 667.
Posted by Mondo Fuego™ on April 17, 2023, 10:46 pm
How do you get from:
RAISE
POUTY
CLIMB
to:
WHIFF
LOL
But, enough about her.
--------------------
THIS JUST PROVES THAT THE MORON DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO PLAY OR WIN AT WORDLE. YOU ESTABLISH POSSIBLE ANSWERS AND THEN PLAY WORDS YOU THINK MIGHT BE RIGHT. ALSO EMPLOY FLANGERS TO GET AS MANY POSSIBLE WORDS INCLUDED IN THE LETTERS USED TO ISOLATE THAT WHICH IS CORRECT. IN THIS CASE, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DID, AS WORDLEBOT SHOWS (YOU CAN ONLY ACCESS AFTER PLAYING SO THERE'S NO CHEATING INVOLVED, CONTRARY TO HIS LIE). WORDLEBOT PROVES THAT THERE WAS ONLY ONE POSSIBLE ANSWER LEFT AFTER MY FIRST 3 GUESSES AND FLANGER "CLIMB". THUS, THE ANSWER WAS WHIFF.
DUH mONGO-loid who OBVIOUSLY doesn't know how to play in spite of his claims that it's "so easy".

Cheating is what he’d do if he were stuck (despite the ‘easiness’ of the game), so he assumes others would, too.
His obsession with the game, and these boards, is hilarious.
Keep it up, Mongo! Always good for a laugh…
Offline
Honestly, I'm not even certain that you CAN cheat. At least I've never pursued the idea. However, I've NO DOUBT that mongo has tried to find a way. LOL. No wonder he thinks it's "so easy".

Next on the playbill.. his complaints about more talk about him here. HE opens the door, walks through it, and doesn't expect there to be a "discussion"???

Yes, his demented obsession is recurring..

Demonic.
Plus a new section where the worm and schizo talk to themselves, offering answers to questions that were never asked.
Second stage of dementia.

Well, you’d know. Or you would if you were that self-aware, Mr. Moderator-and-Wordle-Expert…lol

Notice he didn't provide a LINK to this because he doesn't want his pinheads to see what a complete PUTZ he is.
His accusation merely PROVES that he is COMPLETELY CLUELESS about how to play Wordle and that his claims that it's "so easy" are F.O.S. since HE doesn't even know how to play if he thinks that I somehow cheated by getting that answer by process of omission. With all but the vowel "i" excluded by my first 3 guesses, it told me that the only POSSIBLE answer was WHIFF, which I'd have NEVER guessed otherwise.
After being told about his assinine accusation, I found my crunched up list of possible answers in the basket beside my laptop scribbled after RAISE and POUTY. It included BLIND, BLINK, CHICK, CHILD, CHILI, CHILL, CLICK, CLIMB, CLING, CLINK, FLICK, FLING, ICING, WHICH, and WHIFF.
WHIFF was not where I thought it was going. So, I chose CLIMB as my next guess (and as a FLANGER because it would rule in or out everything but WHIFF (which I figured WASN'T the answer, but it was still a possible answer so I kept it in my list) My hope was that it would show me which of the group were still standing. I chose it because if the C at the start was yellow, then I'd know that the right answer was FLICK, ICING, or WHICH. If it was green, then the right answer was CHICK, CHILD, CHILI, CHILL, CLICK, CLIMB, CLING, or CLINK depending on if the L was in the right/wrong place or non-existent. Then, the B would rule in or out BLINK or BLIND.
I NEVER expected NONE of them (C,L,B) to be right. That left ONLY WHIFF.
Only someone who hasn't a CLUE how to play wouldn't have understood that simple fact the second they saw my explanation and 3rd word (CLIMB) --- assuming they understood mapping out what it could or couldn't be when they played and the answer wasn't obvious.

What an idiot! He's apparently referencing your posts on the forum's political board section as if it is a NEW section and you didn't CLEARLY establish why you were posting there.
He obviously spends a HELLUVA LOT OF TIME HERE. Latest report showed 72 visits here last week by mongo!
But he's not obsessed... LOL

Why, specifically, Bauer is so annoying:

when i decided to investigate the Baha'i Faith, i went to frequent "Firesides"

and asked skeptical questions and got good answers. i read biographies of Baha'u'llah, Abdul Baha, a book on hundreds of Bible prophecies and how they were fulfilled. Eventually, i read Budhist/Hindu prophecies andd how they were fulfilled. That was for starters. What have you done?

As has been noted, he sticks to the subject on R & E pretty well, and this is another example. It’s about Baha’i, which is kinda repetitive with him, but it’s religious in nature.
You see the problem, though. Like SO MANY of his posts, it’s not just a statement of facts or beliefs, it’s a challenge - really an attack. He simply cannot resist the final comment, ‘What have YOU done?’ Because he’s so full of himself, and seemingly resentful that others don’t believe as he does.
Of course attacking others is one reason people mock or ignore him, something he has yet to figure out. And why so many of us have accused him of trolling, down through the years.
Fanaticism can make any religious believer obnoxious, I’m afraid..
Offline
Fanaticism, activism, extremism, and obsession are all the same things. Matters not if the person is that way about religion, guns, what other people do, boards, discussions, articles, or politics that irritate them, or any other "things." Efforts to control discussion may be due to inability to control their obsession. If they can't control it, they disparage it.

He is a very accomplished troll. He totally gets how to get folks jumping so they'll respond. He has perfected his schtick to where he nearly always gets the one's he's targeted to respond. He knows EXACTLY what to post to target each and every one of us. (EX: Witness his trying to get Poppet by calling her a liar, which is HER trigger.) Many, like me and a few others have figured him out and just ignore or laugh at him. Others either haven't figured it out or simply don't care and choose to continue playing his idiotic games.
He IS a "true believer". His other online presence proves that, but never confuse it with being actual concern about others following him.
What he wants is ATTENTION. He's a lonely outcast who only cares about getting ATTENTION. He approaches other patrons at restaurants to get their attention. Most polite people won't shove someone off right away, even if they wish the other would just STFU and GO.

His most recent post is likely directed at me. I think he's kinda jealous that I'm published (he did try to write a book once - remember that?). Of course it was tempting to answer. I may not be a world-class scholar on religion, but I've logged over 60,000 (eek!) in my work. I know I sound like I'm blowing my own horn, but I am proud of it, and how it helps people. JB is a wannabe (whatever) and an attention slut

No brag, just fact. I bought one of your books some years ago. Great book!
Offline
Trish, did you publish a book on religion along with your other books?
Offline
All of my books run in the spiritual vein. I have one on adoptive shamanism, one on creating gardens for the Divine, one on global divination techniques (that was fun to research), a teen-oriented book, one on sacred drumming, and then there's cooking and brewing.
Offline
Oh, I didn't realize that. I'd thought most were on food a/o cookbooks. Very cool!
Offline
I should get your books on drumming and brewing.
My ex, who used to be into Paganism (she’s now moving back, or maybe I should say backward, into Catholicism) has a number of Trish’s books. I was amazed when I found out such a noted author posted on these boards!

So, a long time a go in a galaxy not so far away, I came down with the chicken pox. Being at home, with nothing to do, I started going through some notes and writing I had about magic. I cobled them together, sent them off, and that was the beginning of Victoiran Grimoire (I was itching to write, you see LOL)
At this point our lives were just starting out, and money was scarce. So even as I wrote more books, I often took on side jobs, besides being a secretary. One was Starbucks. Another was working for MSNBCI with Danielle as a moderator. It was a three year gig before they pulled the plug. I and Danielle were on line with each other, crying over the end of a community so caringly handled.
Then there was this idea to set up R&E elsewhere, and try to get everyone the message. I was on board that ship right away. It seemed natural. After a while, Ken let me moderate some for him ... it was like coming home.
I continued to write of course to the tune of 60 books (I think) and now am returning to writing after a decade "off" - I wanted to make space for new voices and visions. Plus, I need a break to refresh and take care of my husband.
I never expected this. I am a poet more than anything else. My mother saved my poems from childhood, and it was obvious that ink was in my blood. So, while my first goal was teaching young children, my degree in English is what landed secretarial/AA/EA jobs. As bosses realized I could write, I created sales presentations and newsletters for them.
Now I write mostly online. My current clients are a local chef, a recipe site, a company who has me doing healthcare pieces, and my longest client of 13 years, for whom I ghost wrote a 700 page book (yikes) among taking care of her site. Right now my focus is on the symbolism, meaning, history, and lore of various animals (each piece is around 5,000-7,000 words).
I suspect I will die at my keyboard

Who did you send your writing off to? Just curious. Nowadays, few publishing houses accept or publish unsolicited manuscripts from unpublished writers from what I learned when I took an intense course in writing for children several years ago. Else they land in a huge pile on an overworked lower level editor assistants desk.
The course specified doing intense investigation into each publishing house that might publish your piece and into their editors to target only those who might open the envelope and/or read it if they did open it.
Knowing that you do a ton of online research, it makes sense that you would have known that, but HOW did you do that before the internet was readily available, which is the time line that I'm presuming you did this? My course provided us with that kind of information, which is part of why I paid for the course since it would be very difficult for me to have gotten that information on my own.
What is the Victorian Grimoire? Is that the name of your group of pagan magic writings? I had no idea that you had all those books on the subject so this is all new to me. I'd thought that the majority of your writing was cook books and other food related topics. Boy was I wrong!
I'd be interested in learning more about what you've written. Where can I find it? Just google your name?
You got chicken pox as an ADULT? Yikes, that must have been beyond miserable! The older you are, the worse it is from what I've heard.
So, you helped Ken with R&E long before your recent elevation to moderator there? Cool. I had no idea. I didn't post on MSNBC on any board but OBB (Opinion bulletin board) so wasn't familiar with R&E aside of seeing it in the list of boards. Did you moderate ALL of the MSNBC boards?
Of course, I didn't come to Webapps until sometime around 2005 or early 2006 after Dain Ironfoot and my board(s) were blown up when TBQ FORUMS burned down because its owner decided to kill it overnight with NO WARNING. We were furious, but there was nothing we could do so we just moved on. At first, I went to another platform before Dain invited me to mongo's board on Webapps. That was my first "home" there. I didn't go to the Blue Board (then Civilized Political Discussion) until Donatello invited me after I left mongo's sh*t board in 2008 because it was just TOO NASTY and I was sick of it.
60 books??? WOWZA !!! I am VERY impressed !!!
What is the name of the book you ghostwrote? What is her website? Or are you not allowed to say? I wouldn't want to cause any issues for you so just don't answer if it's wiser not to.
That is SO COOL that you have gotten all of those clients that keep you busy enough to pay your bills. That you continue to struggle financially in spite of that means that maybe they are underpaying you?
How is your husband doing? You mentioned him being in the hospital and wondering if it was time for him to be in a long term facility? Were you able to get funding for that? I hope so.
Tell us more please? I'm really interested. You can respond via email if anything is too sensitive.

BTW, the times on every post since daylight savings time ended are still using DST and I cannot change it for some reason. I've tried to trick it by changing the time to the previous one in the Atlantic ocean to offset it but it doesn't work. The base time on this platform is in the UK, so 5 hours later than EST.

Fantastic, Trish! I had no idea you made such a successful, prolific career! From
time to time you post and write a little more, like in some responses to religious
topics where a window of some considerable experience and expertise opens.
No wonder! I always had respect for your insight. That increased exponentially!
Almost equally remarkable is your self control in responses to the insanity of the
many trolls and their wholly cranky hubris. That not only requires significant patience,
but is a desirable virtue.

Thanks, Trish, much appreciated. I know you had a background moderating from when I first showed up on old MSNBC but hadn’t heard all the rest.
I passed your comments along to my ex, who offered ‘a tip of the witch’s cap’ to you for your writing. And believe me, she has a small library of your books.
Best wishes!
ps - there were other boards at MSNBC, right? I think I posted on two or three. Forgot who linked me to them - I don’t think I found them by accident - but I know there was kind of a wild political board, too.
