Breckenridge and A Basin ski areas are still open, with 70+ inch bases. Most ski areas could be open, but a closure date is set by the US Forest Service, regardless of conditions.
This is CR2 outside of Silverton, CO, Friday 24 May 2019, in the San Juan Range, where access to almost everything remains closed indefinitely.

WOW, I just cannot imagine that volume of snow in MAY, no less.
We get that kind of snow during winter, but not in spring and especially not in May... Sheesh...
