To me that was HIGHLY abusive, hurtful, and
self centered.  You don't even POST on that board but you go over there, bring back stuff, and attack me?  Then complain I'm not being a 'friend' to you?

What was abusive? That I said you like to get into it with others there whom you strongly disagree with? I'm sorry, but if you didn't enjoy the endless ruckus and pointless poster battles, you wouldn't post or even go there.

At the very least, you wouldn't open the posts of those who constantly attack you.

I didn't say that you don't WANT actual bipartisan discussion and for it to be a good, or at least better, board. If that is how you took it, then I apologize for my clumsy wording because that was not my meaning.

It seems like going after those you hate is far more important. Attacking them to shut them up or drive them away SEEMS to be the goal.

When you first posted there, way back in the beginning in February and March, you made a huge effort to always remain civil and offer substantive posts. You didn't lob attacks on those you hate and refused to tale their bait to get into fights. Those days are long gone now. Now it seems like the "fun" there is conflict. Downright ugly conflict. Not saying that's "on you" or your fault. It is just ALL there is there now. So those who stay just fight all the time.

Those who truly want legitimate, respectful bipartisan discussion don't stick around on boards like that for very long. It is abundantly obvious that the bulk of posts and posters there just want to separate into gangs to fight "in the streets" just like on Woodbine's board and mongo's political board.

I DID comment on what you wrote here though because I didn't agree on everything you said. I honestly do NOT think that CSS is mongo. His style is radically different. His attacks are radically different. He doesn't use mongo's limited vocabulary word salad attacks on you. As I see it, he simply doesn't like you and you see that as only being mongo. I disagree strongly.

Anyway, nothing I said was intended to attack nor hurt you feelings. I was simply offering how things look to me so you could take a minute to look again to see if maybe you might decide that it is pointless to try to force the unwilling to do better or change their spots.

Mongo is a conflict wh*re. So are Gustavo/Capone, SES, CSS, Dara, GTG, and several others. That kind of board appeals to them. You were falling for their endless bait and being a lot like them as a result. Even if that wasn't your intent.

Now, before you get offended by that, lemme tell you something. Several years ago, I think in 2008, Poppet called me a conflict wh*re. I was furious and offered every reason I could think of why she was wrong. I was posting on mongo's board back then and frequently getting into battles with the locals who constantly attacked me no matter what I did. I LET them get my goat and would fly off the handle, often saying mean/ugly stuff in retaliation that I quickly regretted. After Poppetvsaid that to me, I was so angry and defensive for a few days before stopping to think about it from an OUTSIDE POV without all of my excuses, reasons, and justifications allowed. I recognized that while she was wrong about my intentions, she was right about my actions and reactions. So, I gave it a lot of thought and went back with a new attitude and a refusal to be baited into blowing my top at DeeDee, Shadow, SMartin, Aroura (?) and so many others who constantly needled me there. Nothing changed with them even as I made radical changes in my reactions and even told them I wasn't going to bite at their bait anymore. They just stepped it up to make me fail.

A few days later, Donatello invited me to come to the original Blue. So, I left mongo's board for good. Within weeks, Donatello asked me to join the moderation team of Merlin, AayJay, and himself. I never went back to mongo's board. Since then, I worked hard to avoid AHs who seek to rattle or upset me. I refuse to waste my limited time on AHs and hopeless boards.

I'm suggesting that you consider how happy you are over there and the chances of successfully changing ANYTHING there with the players and a mod who despises you, always blames you, and who REFUSES to follow his own rules or do ANYTHING about the crapbthat goes on there. You CANNOTvwin, just like I could not change mongo's board or the AH regulars there. Who needs that sh*t??

So, I'm honestly sorry that some things hurt your feelings in spite of that not being my intention at all.

If you need time away, then do whatever you need to do.

Just give some thought to what I've said. If it makes sense, GREAT. If it doesn't, well that's life.
