tRUMP just admitted that he is totally willing to take info from enemy

countries to help him in an election.

He just declared that the FBI is WRONG on prohibition against accepting election help from foreign governments in future elections no matter WHO it is...

Re: tRUMP just admitted that he is totally willing to take info from enemy

Trump got away with it- his interpretive conclusion of the Mueller Report. So, according to him, and his experience, it's not illegal, and he can do it again. And again. He's right and everyone else is wrong. His base is right with him. He's right and the FBI is wrong. Why is the FBI wrong? They're corrupted by Democrats.

The real danger here is normalizing this attitude and belief. Spreading these lies so people believe this is how it is. That Trump speaks a truth nobody else will. His base sees this as "winning." Trump wins again.

It is clear neither he, nor his base appear to have even the most basic grounding of knowledge and information about American civics and government. It isn't what the law says. It's what they say... or rather what he says, with which they agree.

One more thing to think about.

Trump makes such a fuss about illegal immigration over the southern border, and the "threat" that poses on America.
Yet with his admission in this interview he clearly welcomes an illegal foreign threat undermining our democratic process, which is not just another threat, but perhaps the most serious threat this country has yet faced.

Thing is, NOW the FBI, DOJ, and Congress all KNOW that tRUMP et al KNOW that it's illegal so no breaks for presumed ignorance in another election period.

tRUMP showed consciousness of guilt when he deliberately made up a false story for his son to explain the meeting with the Russians in 2016.  Had they NOT known it was illegal, there would have been no need to make up the ridiculous story about Russian adoptions.

What ever happened to the common legal understanding, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse?"

Ignorance of the law is no excuse still exists, but when you are going after a crime that requires INTENT in order to prosecute, then ignorance of circumstances and legal prohibitions DOES matter.

Appears to me a paradigm shift.

This is the lobster in the pot theory.

Put him in a pot of boiling water, and he screams for a few seconds and is soon  cooked.
Put him in a pot of cold water, then slowly turn up the heat, and he never knows.
He doesn't even know when too late is too late. He's balmy, comfy, and blushing as he's cooked.
