Testing out the forum and poster reactions

Let's see how this puppy works.

How do you like the forum capabilities?

Re: Testing out the forum and poster reactions

Very cool, isn't it?  I love the ability to do so many things that cannot be done on the other forums or on the "message boards" here.

Re: Testing out the forum and poster reactions

I like how you kept the blue background.

Some people might not want to have to enter their email address to log on.

I still need to finish setting up my Religion and Ethics forum here.

You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony

Yes, I know that some folks won't like having to register, but the forum accepts "throwaway email addresses" that can be created quickly and kept only for board notifications.  Once registered, there's no need to enter the email again.  If they don't want any emails from it, they can abandon the email too.  So, it's not THAT big a deal.  It is, however, the ONLY way to stop the excessive trolls that constantly bombard our original board.  We have no illusions that the same trolls won't try to crash in here to disrupt the forum.

I'm wondering if we should all team up since there's the ability to maintain all of these separate topic boards?

I would not advertise or mention  "throwaway email addresses" that can be created quickly and kept only for board notifications.

Normally, I wouldn't, but there are several legitimate posters who are sketchy about using their "real" email addresses because it exposes them to us and that's not something they are comfortable with.  Registrations still require approval and can easily be revoked, plus most folks know it but might not think of using it, so there's minimal danger of mentioning it.

Check your email for info on an issue that will be of interest to you.

Re: Testing out the forum and poster reactions
