Jared Kushner

Why is Jared Kushner doing the job of elected representation?
He is an adviser. Not a developer of policy.

WASHINGTON, April 24 (Reuters) - A merit-based immigration proposal being put together by White House senior adviser Jared Kushner could lead to an increase in U.S. visas for highly skilled workers, sources familiar with the effort said on Wednesday.Kushner is expected to present the comprehensive plan next week to President Donald Trump, who will decide whether to adopt it as his official position or send it back for changes, the sources said. The plan does not propose ways to address young people who came to the United States illegally as children who were protected by President Barack Obama in the 2014 program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), or those people who have Temporary Protected Status, the sources said.Democrats, whose support the White House would need to advance any kind of immigration legislation through Congress, have insisted that the DACA recipients be protected.

Re: Jared Kushner

Because tRUMP doesn't seem to have a CLUE about what's appropriate and what's not.  Jared is also supposed to resolve the M.E. crisis, write a new health care law, and more.

He hasn't a SINGLE qualification for ANY of his "jobs", including presidential adviser.

But hey, since WHEN has that stopped tRUMP from hiring or assigning someone ??

Re: Jared Kushner

Kushner can't write a health care law.
He can't write a law of any kind.

He is not an elected representative.
He can't write a proposal.
He can advise Trump about what to write.
Let Trump write his own proposal with Kushner et al advice.
Or, can't Trump write either?
Is his illiteracy package complete?

Actually, it appears that tRUMP's admin is SO OUTRAGEOUSLY DIFFERENT than normal that Kushner CAN do just about anything he wants because tRUMP will allow it and send it to Congress.  Problem is that tRUMP seems to think that his "orders" are THEIR COMMAND.  He doesn't seem to understand the 3 separate, CO-EQUAL  branches of government, each with their own authority that aren't given to the others.

He may be familiar with a House rubber stamp of his orders. That changed. He seems to think Kushner can do the job of the House, and maybe bypass the House and somehow go straight to the Senate? Or better yet, Trump makes an executive order of it, bypassing the Legislative branch altogether?

This underscores why his packing SCOTUS with his picks is the single most dangerous threat this country ever faced. McConnell helped him! Trump sees his own protection. McConnell sees a conservative dominated judicial majority likely sympathetic and favorable to conservative ideals. He is willing to give Trump his pick to get what he wants, with the trade off of Trump protection as a short, but necessary concession.

Any other Trump influence can last through his presidency and maybe a little beyond. His packing of the SCOTUS will bend the country his way for a generation. That, we cannot survive.
